We are thrilled to announce that the IOGGA2 project has officially been implemented in Hungary at the end of May! This transformative training course aimed to enhance gender awareness in activities involving youth from diverse social actors in Europe and third countries.
During the first day, participants from Albania, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Spain, and the State of Palestine came together, embarking on a journey of discovery, connection, and exploration of the project’s objectives. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as the group delved into discussions and laid the foundation for an empowering and educational experience.
On Day two, the excitement escalated as participants delved deeper into the topic of gender awareness. Guided by a guest facilitator, each group explored the various factors that influence gender, accompanied by personal experiences that shed light on this important subject. The profound discussions and thought-provoking insights fostered a greater understanding of the complexities surrounding gender, igniting a collective drive for change.
But the excitement didn’t stop there! Day 3 introduced a captivating exploration of national cases and personal experiences related to gender awareness, inequality, and steps toward progress. Through heartfelt stories and the exchange of ideas, participants shared their perspectives, shedding light on the challenges faced in their respective countries. The atmosphere of unity that prevailed on both an international and interpersonal level was truly remarkable, underscoring the power of collaboration and empathy.
Day 4 proved to be a journey of reflection and empathy as participants immersed themselves in games, activities, and the transformative power of Forum Theatre. It was a day of deep introspection, as the stark realities of gender inequalities were acknowledged and the urgency for change resonated strongly. The participants embraced their collective commitment to combatting gender inequalities, determined to challenge existing norms and foster a more inclusive society.
As the IOGGA2 project draws to a close, the final day was dedicated to amplifying the message of gender awareness and equality. Each national team presented their robust plans to disseminate the valuable knowledge and insights gained throughout this remarkable journey. Their innovative social media campaigns, community workshops, and partnerships showcased unwavering dedication to creating a lasting impact that extends far beyond the project itself. Additionally, participants took time to reflect on our program experience, expressing gratitude and appreciation for one another.
