About the role

Asfar is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media & Content Creator Volunteer to help us grow our online presence and promote our English Online and ESL services to new audiences.

Our social media channels need refreshing and developing, and we are looking for someone who can bring new ideas, energy and creativity to our content.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop engaging content for our existing social media channels.
  • Create short-form content, particularly Reels and video content, to increase reach and engagement.
  • Help promote our English Online and Asfar’s TalkLab services to potential learners.
  • Develop creative posts, stories, campaigns and promotional content.
  • Identify social media trends and suggest new content ideas.
  • Help increase followers, engagement and awareness of Asfar’s work and services.
  • Maintain a consistent and engaging visual style across our social media platforms.
  • Monitor basic engagement and reach and suggest ways to improve our content.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is creative, enthusiastic and confident using social media.
  • Has an interest in Instagram Reels, YouTube, TikTok, short-form video and digital content.
  • Understands what makes social media content engaging and shareable.
  • Can create attractive content using tools such as ChatGPT, Canva or similar platforms.
  • Is able to work independently and bring their own ideas.
  • Has an interest in education, English language learning, youth, international development or social impact.

You don’t need to be a professional social media manager. We are particularly interested in someone who is creative, understands social media and wants to build their experience while making a real contribution.

What you’ll gain:

This is an opportunity to gain practical experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation and audience development while supporting an international social-impact organisation.

Plus, as new opportunities open up in 2027, where eligibility rules allows, we will try to include you as much as possible.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your portfolio, experiment with creative content and help shape Asfar’s growing digital presence.
